What is the power consumption of our LED neons?
An LED light has a 12 volt (voltage) and offers a capacity of 6-12 watts (power) per 1m (meter) LED light strip.
In order to calculate the exact wattage, the following information is important:
- Number of meters of LED light strip , which are used for the neon motif (variable information, since each neon letter/text has a different length!). If you would like to know the exact meters your custom motif requires then please contact us via our contact form .
- Number of hours that the LED signage lights up when it is switched on (active service life).
Formula for calculating electricity costs: power (Watt) x time (hours) = energy consumption in watt hours (Wh), this divided by 1000 = consumption in kilowatt hours (kWh). 1 kilowatt hour currently costs €0.37 (as of April 2022 DE area).

Conventional light bulb: 20-40 watts (power)
LED neon lettering: 6-12 watts (power) per meter of light strip
